Castel Sant'Elmo Entrance Tickets

The Castello di Sant'Elmo has its origins in the 1200's, situated on the Vomero hill in Naples, it is a medieval castle now used as a museum and home to the offices of the Directorate of the Polo Museale della Campania and the Museum of the Twentieth Century in Naples.

What makes this monumental place so splendid is its strategic position, from which it is possible to admire a breathtaking view of the sea, Vesuvius, the islands, the Campi Flegrei and the Matese mountains. The fortress is one of the largest and most important in the city and welcomes many visitors every year.

What's included

Castel Sant'Elmo is a medieval castle, the highest expression of 16th century military architecture, located on the hill in the Vomero district of Naples, near the Charterhouse of San Martino. Inside the castle there is the Museo Napoli Novecento (Naples Novecento Museum), which exhibits works by artists linked to the city of Naples. To complete the itinerary, it is possible to visit the small church dedicated to St. Erasmus, characterized by a terracotta and majolica floor, typical of local craftsmanship.
