4 Days Tour Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

What sets our tour apart

This 4-day journey from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert is carefully designed to offer a perfect balance of breathtaking landscapes, deep cultural immersion, and authentic Berber experiences—far beyond a simple transfer to the Sahara.

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. We cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping at panoramic viewpoints and traditional villages rarely seen by mass tourism.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic fortress that tells the story of ancient caravan routes and Berber architecture. Continue through Ouarzazate, Morocco’s desert gateway, before traveling through the Rose Valley, famous for its rose harvest and local cooperatives. The day ends in the stunning Dades Valley, where you enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by dramatic rock formations.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, explore the impressive Todgha Gorge, with its towering canyon walls carved by nature over centuries. Continue through desert towns and fossil-rich areas around Erfoud, offering insight into the region’s geological history.
Arrive in Merzouga, where the Sahara truly begins. Ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset and reach your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, live music around the fire, and a peaceful night under a sky full of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Agdez – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Wake early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Return by camel or 4x4 and begin the journey west. Pass through Rissani, once an important trading center, then Alnif and remote landscapes rich in Berber heritage.
Travel through the lush Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest palm oasis, dotted with ancient kasbahs and hidden villages. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy the return drive through the High Atlas Mountains, with scenic stops along the way. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your desert journey concludes.
