The day begins at the Fattoria Madonna della Querce, located between Montepulciano and the Val d'Orcia. After a warm welcome and a brief introduction, you'll meet your guide and horses, ready to set off on a scenic horseback ride through vineyards, olive groves, and ancient dirt roads.
During the ride, you'll admire the breathtaking landscapes typical of Tuscany: rolling hills, cypress trees, and ancient farmhouses that seem to have emerged from a painting. Your expert guide will accompany you every step of the way, sharing interesting facts about the history and rural life of this area.
The activity is also suitable for beginners: the horses are docile and accustomed to inexperienced riders.
After the ride, you'll return to the farm for a guided tour of the animals: you'll meet the Cinta Senese pigs. You'll learn how they're raised and how typical local products are produced.
Afterwards, you can relax with a full Tuscan lunch prepared with fresh farm ingredients.
The menu includes: two types of bruschetta, ribollita in winter/panzanela in summer, a platter of cured meats from our Cinta Senese pigs, a platter of three types of Pecorino di Pienza cheese and compotes, and cantucci biscuits and vinsanto for dessert.
